Supitcha Tovivich



Dr. Supitcha Tovivich has been a full-time Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, Silpakorn University since 2003. With a Ph.D. from Bartlett DPU, University College London, and an MA in Humanitarian and Development Practice from Oxford Brookes University, she brings extensive expertise to her roles. From 2015 to 2018, she served as the Head of Department of Architecture. Following this, she assumed the role of Assistant Dean for Public Relations from 2019 to 2020. Dr. Tovivich's contributions extend beyond academia; she served as the Chairperson of the Committee of Community Act Network (ASA-CAN) from 2016 to 2018 and as Editor in Chief of ASA Journal and ASA CREW at the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) from 2013 to 2020. Notably, in 2022, Dr. Tovivich was honored with the UK Alumni Culture and Creativity Award for Thailand, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the field. 


Her expertise lies in participatory design, community development, and urban intervention, with a particular focus on integrating architectural education with community-based design studios and tactical urbanism. She has actively engaged with various local communities in Bangkok, including the Khlong Bang Luang community and the Bangkok Flower Market, showcasing her commitment to meaningful, inclusive design practices.
