SRH1415 “Nature and Redemption”

Sirut Reinhard Huehne

| “The notion of abandoned and unused spaces left to be reclaimed by nature is not only a romantic idea, but also practical one. I’m particularly interested in the proposals that re-look at our existing built environment or cities for ways that we can co-exist with other living things, and to be more considerate to our environment. The provocative collages recalling Superstudio, Archigram, and also “The Last of Us” are however quite post-apocalyptic and questionable. Would these already built structures be more sustainable if put to better use by people, instead of creating a need for new construction?”
