Our project is any public building, which have lot of social n cultural use.The building we have designed is structure of cluster (chawl) basically made by eradicating single houses and making the building a colony, hence saving land. Our idea is to give them better and spacious living, with beautiful open spaces and self sustainable feature. So, here our design shows the changeable demands of the users visually with the same constant comfortability.
Vernacular architecture according to us is the building which is having deep understanding of behaviour of environment and demands of user.
Vernacular according to us is not the design of one era of period, it’s a continues process followed from history to present...And will be followed in the future.
Vernacular makes the building to breathe, and without O2 nothing can survive.
The subject of our design is based on urban and socio culture .this building on the urban level is going to be an ice breaker to the common problems of the society, like The problem of land, with the increase of population—we have taken the building inside
earth, which save the land but not the space.
Our building solves the problem of landscape and socio interactive places, which are very less now a days.
Our building is self renewal, as in possess the water harvesting process which is then connected to community well and hence increase the ground water level. The air and light in even proper in underground building, for that we used several
techniques.
So here, vernacular agitates the status quo by understanding the nature. Vernacular is not a rigid theory, its versatile and flexible understanding to design.
