Vernacular for all

Designing architecture we architect learn much from vernacular. It suggest how we live, how we build, and how we relate to the nature.

But today, in the world which most people live in urbanized city in which the density is continually increase. The new technology or material invented. Some ... are repleaced. Which lessons are still relevant? How can we build the pleasing house involving with the nature in such a dense city? Do the timber still be the cheap and abundant material for all people? Is it has to be the low rise house with the courtyard? Is the modern vernacular preserved only for the well to do people?

In this project, I have struggled to find an alternative modern vernecular, which is affordable, to create an opportunity for wider group of people to live in. Explore the alternative way to live locally in the city.
