ALTHOUGH NAURU (THE SMALLEST REPUBLIC IN THE WORLD) WAS THE WEALTHIEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD IN 1970S DUE TO PHOSPHATE EXCAVATION , IT IS ENDANGERED NOWADAYS BY CLIMATE CHANGE AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS.NAURU PEOPLE ARE AT RISK ,THEY ARE LOSING THEIR TRADITIONAL CULTURE AS FOLK STORIES AND BUILDING TECHNIQUES.THE HEART OF NAURU COMMUNITY WAS ITS DOMANEAB OR THE MEETING HOUSE ,THE DOMANEAB WAS NOT JUST THE BIGGEST BUILDING ON THE ISLAND ,IT WAS THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND LIFE

CAN A NEW SUSTAINABLE DOMANEAB REVIVE THE ISLAND?CAN VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE MAKE NAURU GREAT AGAIN?CAN ONE BUILDING CHANGE THE WHOLE NATION FROM UNSUSTAINABILITY TO SUSTAINABILITY?
