The concentration of consumerism within urban areas has attracted a great diversity of people hoping to take advantage of the wide-range of business opportunities and activities offered by constantly changing trends and demands. Although much of this activity has resulted in unlawful or unofficial use of public space, it still provides a valuable economic contribution within both immediate areas and towards the city as a whole.
